Agree weld a nut on, let it cool to contract then give a little nip tightening, then slacken! But steel into alloy is a bad combination for success? But nothing ventured nothing gained! :thumbup:

I may be talking out my butt here, But if Eddie Stobart can have all them trucks wrapped in vinyl, With all the curves etc that they have, surely it's not impossible to Wrap a bike tank! And i know that Carbon Fibre effect vinyl has been available for a while now! Is that not a cheaper/Better option...

I'm surprised you engaged in conversation with a "Hardley" owner? In my world they are classed as adults with learning difficulties, To dumb to realise they bought a tractor instead of a bike! Just keep passing the Fookers, and laugh at them with their uniform of Pudding bowl helmet, shade...

Join the club Kev :thumbup: the only good thing about advancing years is the insurance is a little cheaper.....well it's supposed to be :mrgreen: But as for the pattern mirrors...they may be a better option if they can be set in a position that suites the Storm! the R1 standard ones need tweeked sli...

I don't know about the ones you mention (Twice :mrgreen: ) But E-bay has plenty S/H ones! my last was The O/S one for £12 from a breakers on Flea-bay this was from a 2004-2006 model and it doesn't sit in the correct position and it's sprung loaded with a riveted stud through the middle! So mines go...
