Hoping to take my storm and a steelie. The steelie is still in bits and my storm still has the smokin joe costume at the moment. I usually put swap this for a track set of plastic

I didn't realize it was that long ago !!!!

My repaired faring is still holding up and has fell over a few times, plus a trip down the road at mallory (some of you guys may remember that session).

I rate this stuff. Kemdent works out pretty cheap or you can by the same stuff repackaged under the name of Plastex for about 10 times the price. Same sort of principle. Also notice one of the wires for the rear light (brown) had had it's insulation breached having been trapped in the seat latch. possible source to

fuse and headlight bulb blown. 13.95 volts at the battery when running and revving. some potential new heat damage at the headlight connector. So hopefully just a corroded / poor connection the culprit

Just lost clocks and lights

Just lost speedo, rev counter, odo and lights. The indicators still work and flash on the clock consul. The horn and brakes lights work. I was on the beans about a mile from home when this happened and was able to ride bake. Did a quick look at fuses nothing seen under the seat or on the battery sid...

I am assuming that it does not have a gravity fed carb with a float and bowl and it is a diaphragm type
The diaphragms in the carbs can degrade over time. When this happens they can't fuel properly.


The same can happen to the crank seals

i had a ST1100 a few years ago but sold it. Then realized that it was actually a good all rounder. Good enough on the A roads and surprisingly agile in the city. Tried a Blackbird with luggage as a substitute but that didn't work well for me. So ended up going for a ST1300. These bikes have had year...
