I have decided to take the bike off sale tilk the spribg. I may go to the chiropractor and get it xrayed and have costly treatment.

My doc is not interested, i have wear in it. He basically said i would have to put up with it. Dont get me wrong i can manage a blat for an hour or two. Just uncomfortable. I made my decision after reading about the Yam mosfet rectifier.
From what i could make out, all rectifiers have a limited life.
The mosfet is far superior. Trouble is hacking into the loom, never a great idea.

Sorry i asked for advice and went ahead and did my own thing. But i came to my conclusion based on this.

They dont always cook the battery. Just undercharge.
£30 on a second hand rectifier wont covera new battery either. A previous boss always told me either buy new or reconditioned or new. Secondhand can fail at anytime with no comeback.

Hi all, thanks for all your help, but i have decided to buy a new upgraded Honda item. 1 year warranty. After reading about the Yam ones and speaking to a top Honda tech. I made my choice.
