42 rear 36 front and I fill the oil level to the top line when upright. Dont be afraid to use a good synthetic oil in a used engine.

Need a 5mm shim for shock.
As in title, I returned the rear shock to standard by removing the shim, just to see what difference it made and the fact that the bottom of the suspension linkage wa just touching the exhaust, well the thing is unrideable, like a barge on a canal, ruined my day out, anyway, I lost the bloody thing ...

Even if you do total it the excess will kill you, maybe end up with 58p when they have done their sums, just hope its someone elses fault with 20 witnesses. My m8 who is 18 just pased his test on a zx6r 2009, got insurance for £900 FC with red star, £350 excess...shop around a bit.

great idea about saving weight, I took the engine out and wow I can get my knee down in the garage, it now runs very quietly.

Does a K&N air filter make a noticable difference? On their website they make a lot of pronises like more horsepower and better filtering but is there actually a noticable difference on a storm roadbike? i think for the cost and maybe 6 to 8 dyno runs you are looking at a lot of cash, for maybe...

Sell the VTR, a ZX6R made it look very silly this weekend....and buy a Ducati 749...keep some money back for the breakdowns, as I dont have the "nous" to avoid them...hehe.

No get a proper r1 one, mount it properly clean the frame, make sure it fits tight and check the boy every year.
