Re: Riding kit

I'm glad to hear so many sensible people in here. We'll soon be into the silly season of T-shirt clad heroes in shorts and trainers zooming about on their sports bike with no gloves. Just the sight of them makes me shudder. Maybe I should show them the marks on my gloves and leathers from my off. I ...

Welcome to the club, and if you still have standards, get those cam chain tensioners changed.

I've got to tackle that job myself, but this lot have already put the fear of god into me about what will happen if I don't!

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Are you trying to reduce your radar profile Marty :D Well my plan for tonight was to fix the snapped lug on the back end plastic (yup, one on the bottom), and reinforce the other which I repaired many years ago... Except having washed the back end in the sink, I can't find where I put the snapped of...

Sounds like business has been slow so they're having another fire
Yup, that's one of the numbers I tried. Just rang.

At least they didn't share their website with M&P, it isn't dog slow... Just their phones!

Does the phone at Buster's actually work?

I've been trying to contact them for the last couple of hours on and off...

All the numbers I have, including those listed in saynoto0870, are either engaged or ring endlessly.

Not a good impression.

Re: It's ALIVE!!!

New battery and away you go :Woohoo: :Rock1: :Bike: Well, got the MOT first, and I can't find the paperwork, so I've got to jump through a few of those hoops to sort that out before I can get a tax disc (which will be stolen off the bike within the first month as usual!). Fitting my CCT's sometime ...

Re: It's ALIVE!!!

Has anyone noticed that when you're working on your bike, you seem to end up surround by foremen with clean hands. Here's mine from last Friday http://www.ishootpictures.co.uk/linkedimages/and-now-what.jpg Oh, and it appears the miracle VTR which required nothing more than a good jump start to fire ...

bought Castrol oil to replace the Halfords stuff that was making the clutch slip, changed oil, went for a ride in between showers........clutch no slip any more  I've always be wary of non-bike specific oil for exactly that reason. Cars (and Ducatis) have dry clutches, so car oil tends to ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Very nice... I've got to do something with mine, they're starting to look scruffy, the old alloy fluff is starting to appear. I'd probably go with the painted finish, I'll never stay on top of the polished one and then they'd go fluffy too! Is this very involved? Can you just remove them from the si...
