Re: Workshop Day - Colchester Essex - April 7

Looks like a great day, wish I could have made it. Next one, promise!

You need me to help correct the colour balance problems you appear to be having!

So you've got a photo, what about a sound recording? :biggrin

Re: Possible newbie here...

I went from a CBR6 to the 'storm, as other say, you'll change your riding style. My pointer would be watch out for that engine braking. On the CBR6 I would bowl up to a corner, notch it down a gear and then blast through it. Tried that on the 'storm when I first got it... It locked the back wheel up...

Re: It's ALIVE!!!

Don’t want to burst your bubble or anything and, I’m not trying to tell you how to suck eggs but be very wary of 5 year old tyres No egg sucking instruction rejected and no bubbles burst  Don't worry, I wasn't planning on heading for the nearest roundabout and hanging off the side, I was ...

Re: Workshop Day - Colchester Essex - April 7

Have fun guys, given another week I could have come along too, well I could come along now, but with no tax, MOT etc etc!

Plus as Yeti will tell you, mine is yellow, and I live at the bottom of a hill, so it's a hell of a push to get it over that :-p

It's ALIVE!!!

After several years of sitting in a corner of the garage (I think 4, or is it 5?), I pushed her outside this morning (tyres still inflated) and gave her a wash. I was expecting to have to buy a new set of rubber for her, but they look fine, only had about 1000 miles done on them before she was laid ...

Re: Left side switch (lights) unit strip down advice?

I found an easier fix... I decided to take her outside into the daylight (first time in several years) and give her a damn good wash before the resurrection process continued. I think sitting in the sun did her the world of good. The lamp dim/dip switch decided to pop back out again and the front br...

Left side switch (lights) unit strip down advice?

Hi, Well the "get Banana back on the road" mission is progressing. I have however hit a little problem, I'm stuck on high beam, the switch is stuck in and won't come out. I guess it just needs a good flushing through with contact cleaner and a bit of grease. Any advice before I start disma...

Re: Sky card clones?

The Sky encryption is actually very very tough to break, but there is a way round it, but it does get a bit involved. The basic idea is that you have a "box", basically a small PC which runs Linux and accepts the Sky smart card. This is your crypto key server. Next you have all the "s...

Howdy, just saw your post, so I'll say welcome to the mad house, even though I'm newer than you!

I'm in South West Essex, so I'm sure we'll cross paths pretty soon.

BTW, yellow ones are fastest :biggrin
