Re: a bit of spondoness.
That is fine, carbs are balanced to the engine on yellow one. But blue one is different. Remember that carbs are not balanced itself, it got signals from engine.

Re: a bit of spondoness.
Kind of silly question, but havent read any mention. Are carbs balanced? And do you run always the same configuration of jets and needles?
Other than that I feel like there can be some problem with incoming air, but I believe this is multiple-checked.

Re: what the actual fuk
I have the same behaviour with choke, but it started since day 1 after rebuilt, so I thought it is due to higher compression. Other than that, bike is running fine.
Have you checked movement of buterflies when turning the throttle?

Re: what the actual fuk
I think your main jet air bleed on the original carbs would have been blocked to prevent a lean running condition. My guess now is that one or both are now open and that's screwed your fuelling. Stock carbs would run sh1t too which would be why they made no difference. Mine was horrible on a part t...

Re: a bit of spondoness.
Isnt there any mechanical problem between buterflies and throttle? Seems strange and unlikely, but it is one of few things staying untouched when changing tank and carbs.

Re: what the actual fuk
What about TPS connector? Broken wire or something. It seems like fuel line is working.

Re: From 107 to 126
I do it this way and never had problem since. 1. Remove all old fluid 2. Connect hose and some bottle for pouring fluid to caliper/clutch bleeding bolt (only one of front brake calipers). Hose must have some part from bolt staying upright. 3. Leave bleeding bolt opened so fluid can go freely out 4. ...

Re: 11.5:1 pistons....
Ok so theoretically, If i went JE pistons and longer duration cams (are these available?) what would the dyno plot look like next to the stock one theoretically? What kind of gains and where? Not 100% sure i would want to go lightened flywheel and clutch at this stage - wouldn't this start to intro...

Re: 11.5:1 pistons....
Any gains to be had from running more compression on an otherwise stock engine? More down low? more everywhere? Nothing much at all? Seems it could be pretty cost effective mod just to skim the heads since stock compression is pretty anaemic and have access to 98RON at pretty much every bowser.. yo...

Helmet is designed to keep integrity after crash. And this one has crack incorporated all over head. I dont believe it.

Re: From 107 to 126
Looks great. how much lower does that yoke go down the fork leg than the standard yoke ? I'm guessing the top of the yoke is the same height as stock, so looking at thickness. I'd consider it for the race bike but due to the VFR headstock being a fair bit longer there's less available travel for th...

My pipes were rusty under wrap, but I still see the benefits from wrapping the rear pipe. So last time I did, I just put protective coat paint under it. It is not visible when wrapped ...
