I would try not to beat yourself up, put it down to experience and make the best of the situation. Get it sorted and take the opportunity to get the bike improved and then keep it, in a years time it will be a memory and you will have a well sorted bike.

The thing is its all too easy to think you need bigger, faster, more powerful bikes but I have had a bit of an eye opener riding this. I always have a couple of boxes of Nitrile gloves open at home in the garage and at work, I find they are tough and thin enough to feel most things and keep my hands nice I used to get dermatitis bad from oil and petrol so wear gloves now.

Not wanting to pour cold water on it but it seems a bit odd. Its a long way to go to be dissapointed which may push you into buying it anyway. Its a pity EMS let you down.
