hi, no the rear wheel I used is a 2006 fireblade ( 1000rr ) and spacer's
with a sp2 wheel spindle.
the blade wheel spacer's are a perfect fit, no machineing.

in answer to your question, yes you can
I'v run an SP2 swingarm in my 97 vtr. since 2012.
take a look at, VTR swingarm and USD fork conversion, workshop section, page 45.
if you need any help, or technical detail's let me know.

Gianfranco bonera, finished second to Read in the 74 500cc world title.
white helmet, with black thin stripe on top, front to back.
one of first to get his butt of the seat and skim the tarmac with his knee,very stylish.

Last world championship thay won, and severnteent 500cc title in a row. AGO won 350cc title for Yamaha.
1975 Phil Read and Armando Toracca First year Ago won 500cc title for Yamaha.
1976 Ago rode Suzuki/Mv Augusta.

hi buddy, SP2 swingarm in firestorm easy swap out. been running one in my storm last 4 year;s i have all the dimension's for this conversion. have photo's of my bike on this forum. workshop page 34/35. if you need any info for this conversion let me know. not as hard as some people think. atb alexmac.

hi, I have a set of 1999 vtr fork. good straight condition. not used last 4 years. also have yoak's handlebars, front wheel, and mudguard ( yellow) I will be travelling to Scotland on the 6/9/15 so if interested could meet up on route saving on postage. not looking for silly money, all just sat here...

hi mate,don't waste your money. mate of mine,fitted some of these to his blade last year. listed on ebay to fit his bike. yea, they fitted on the bike ok,only problem was. not enough adjustment to the horizontal. the mirror's were not to far off vertical,? great if you like looking at your elbow's. ...

hi carl, many a true word said in jest. yes, getting on in year's yes, been through the war's (lot's of) but not going bald yet. just flowing along in the 60s+ and enjoyed. 53 year's in the saddle. looking forward to a lot more year's. OF RIDING ON THE STORM. atb alexmac
