Re: oh f oh f

Totally avoidable if the riders had of A) been riding to the road conditions and b) riding in a staggered formation. maybe the copper should have used a bit more common sense by not jumping out in front of the leading bike but he was doing his job or at least trying.... Nowhere in his job de...

Re: Tank bags

I have yet to get lost using an old fashioned map... I use the GPS for one thing, and one thing only... Low on fuel, find me a filling station ASAP... Other than that, I rely on an invention that was used before the GPS was invented... Called sense of direction... Very rare to find these days appar...

Re: oh f oh f

A lot of stupidity all around, cops and bikers alike... They where riding too bloody fast for the conditions, considering the amount of fog, and wet/cold tarmac... Given that the SV rider reacted far too late, and also braked too hard initially, meaning he locked up the rear, and then he had a lot o...

Re: Tank bags

That, or something like the RAM mounts that go in the steering stem hole, is a nice option... All with the advantage of putting the sat nav where your eyes already are... For the tank bags, my priorities are simple... Easy on, easy off... There is nothing more annoying than to fight the tank bag, yo...

Re: Disc Bolts

I have reused mine several times. If they are loctited properly they don't need to be OVER tightened. Don't see the issue here, unless you think they would all simultaneously fail on both sides? If one did fail it would be obvious because the head would disappear. I always have a look over my bike ...

Re: Torque Settings

They will be 7ftlb or 9 depending on weather the flange is large or small, should be torqued in inch pounds. Baffled, what flange are you talking about? The two bolts I am talking about are in the head and are the two that need to be removed first before the six large ones are removed. If you look ...

Re: Tank Vacuum problem ( I think !! )

If this is the case have you used the full 19 Liter setup ie the external petcock arrangement that sits behind the tank?? Well this is where I think half the problem is as Lee has nothing to get the fuel in accept gravity. (:-}) Now, excuse my ignorance, but why would that be an issue? Really?! The...

Re: 1K to spend.

And the blade forks are a lot lighter, a nice carbon mudguard and Ti fixings all round will get the front up all day, and that feels like you've spent the grand on engine mods. Mind you, it'd look like you're copying mine, but without the road grime. Due to the blade forks being shorter, you won't ...

Re: 19 Litre tank

you lot ought to get yourself backache. I reckon 100 miles on the bike and I would be ready for a chiropractor :sad2 Depends on the pace an setup... :) On my roadbike, I can barely push it to 100 miles on the 16L, but that's babying it... On the trackbike, I'd be happy to make 50, seeing as it gobb...
