Track day obsessed
A friend of mine did a recent track day, and was amazed at the fact that he kept up with and passed so many of the guys with a dedicated track bike, you know the ones lucky enough to have a tuned bike, van , pit team, tyre warmer s. and a full set of spares. He rode there on a 97 Storm with worn out ...

Re: cheap exhausts?
Like most things mate, buy cheap buy twice. I have Yoshi RS3's and there like music to my ears , but I know what ya mean about price, best to look for cheaper second hand decent pipes ,than cheap new. If the cans are damage free then it's only a repack and polish, and you can get new logo's cheap ...

Re: Bull sh1t Power Again
Superbike did a test on a stack of bikes including 3 R1's and they all hit about 128 bhp, from a claimed 150bhp that's a major loss. Think a lot of bikes don't make the right figures, depends on engine running in etc. Think the only bike in the test that made its claimed bhp was an old Kawasaki ZZR ...

Re: Selling with PayPal
I sold a bike recently through eBay and always did prefer cash on collection, but the money I received on pick up contained £100 in fake 20's. Very hard to prove we're you got this from and buyer came from miles away with wife and kids etc to pick up bike. Was gutted as didn't relise till I banked ...

Re: Unmarked police bike - Rugby, Cov area
We have a Police biker near by who is always out with his speed gun but drops it for bikes and gets loads of cars lol. Gotta be real careful when riding out in East Yorkshire though cos there loads of camera bikes, I just ride faster on evenings , never seen one after 4pm ish. Fast riding on a ...

Re: top gear was good
James May also recently bought a CX 500, so I would say his taste in bikes is a bit hit and miss, would think a Noron or BSA would be more his type of bike lol. Think the only time you see bikes on mainstream tv is on Police ,Camera action type program's, were we are portrayed as hooligans, or a ...

Re: top gear was good
Yep agree there, apart from Racing there's nothing on bikes really, Superbike Show is ok but not enough in it really. How many bikers is there and no decent bike shows, what a crying shame. Could have a bike Stig and a star on SV650 lol

Re: First Firestorm
A decent belly pan makes a lot of difference to the looks of the bike, I prefer the Moriwaki type look, but you can get a full lower. I always think without a lower the bike just looks not quite right, kinda look taller then they really are. That's just me though. Nice bike though dude and welcome

Slowing down Fun !!
Not had the Storm long, but find myself getting a buzz from thee sound of the bike when slowing down, it's intoxicating. Got Yoshi RS3's on my bike and the sound track is just amazing, compared to the zx6 that I had which was buzzy and tinny . I thought there was nothing to compare to a Kawasaki ram ...

Re: Not liking cold weather
Might have the answer, I cleaned and reoiled the K&N a couple of days before my last ride and didn't use k&n's own oil, just some for a car I used to have,Bike does feel like its not getting enough fuel/air so ordered an original standard filter and hope it works,. Would it be ok to use carb cleaner ...

Re: Not liking cold weather
Yeh it's just spluttering and there is no power at over 3000 ish, absolutely fine in warmer temps just annoying if you get caught out when away on the bike, will check for carb heater pipes though, Cheers Guys
