Since posting I've just fitted a set of LED indicators which appears to have solved the flashing rear light problem. For some reason with ordinary bulb type indicators there seems to be some kind of power drain going on.

Just failed my MOT on account of the indicators interfering with my LED tail light. For some reason when I switch on the indicators the tail light flickers when they flash. I'm put off by the colour scheme and the lack of a head light and indicators. For me a bike has to be road legal for both day time and night time use to be of any interest.

The smallest car I've ever hired abroad was a Toyota Yaris during the winter in Norway. Granted it had studded tyres but I drove from Tromso up to Alta and back and it performed surprisingly well and given it's small size was quite spacious.
