Also when I bought the bike the gear lever had been repaired with a bolt in place of the original rubber. Managed to find a used one on Ebay which is now on the bike. Also today I spotted a Pyramid ...

Just popped out and fitted my Carbonadi engine covers. Can't make up my mind on whether or not to purchase an after market belly pan. I'd personally say go for it. I think with the pyramid plastic one and (i think) the powerbronze one it looks a lot sportier as it's closer to being fully faired. Th...

Re: Helping with up keep

With the requirement of making 50 posts before being allowed full user status of the forum, being able to PM other members etc I would not be prepared to make any contribution unless that particular ruling was relaxed. It's a shame that there have been several items I've spotted in the sales and wa...

Re: Do you remember these??

I'm not that old  I was born but not older enough to ride back then. Nice old machines . My first bike was an RD125 twin, the model before the LC version came out. (:-}) My first bike was a 1975 RD125, the pear drop tank version with a twin leading shoe front brake and the steering damper thro...

Re: Helping with up keep

I use the forums primarily as a source of information and make good use of the search function rather than simply post a question. My bike is already pretty well sorted with the stopper mod done on the CCTs and it also came to me with Hyperpro springs front and rear. As far as other mods go I curren...

Re: test

I'm a newbie too Eamonn and will be turning 52 in July. I picked up my Firestorm last wednesday and rode it down from Reading to Tonbridge, Kent. Whether I'm having a mid life crisis or not I'm unsure but I will say that riding the Firestorm is the most fun I've had on the roads in years.
