Re: Plastic piece rattling round my fuel tank

Whats a data chip? Something you blokes use to track down you bike if nicked? (nice jargon right?) I subscribe to BIKE magazine so its a doddle.

Re: Numb fingers!

Get a vista cruise. Then you can open your hands on the highway. Gripping decreases circulation so open your hand 15-20 times (one at a time please) and it goes away. To help before a long(2000mile) trip I melted lead fishing sinkers and poured it into crome pipe (1.25"ish diameter), then drill...

Re: 20ltr indurance fuel tank

How does the Lord and Saviour relate to this fuel tank again? Other than the obvious of creating the universe.

Re: Which Snake

I am partial to ball pythons. Very docile and can eat a hamster while hanging from your wrist, which is a plus.

Racing in New England

So most of the town names are the same over here. A bunch of shires, boroughs, derrys, etc. The racetrack is a NASCAR track (300,000 fan capacity for the cars) plus an infield and outfield. Its right near Concord, New Hampshire. http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t399/smokinjoe73/431953_10151609516...

Re: mirror extenders

I run gixr mirrors with no extenders and I can see clearly into my past. I even wired them and my led turn sigs to be running and turn sigs. The day I put them on it seemed everyone got out of my way in traffic from Queens to Manhattan. http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t399/smokinjoe73/2012phncar...

Re: speedo

You should open and spray all your connections with wire dryer, then smear them with dielectric grease for long term reliability. And never use a pressure washer anywhere near them. It can only lead to great unhappiness. Check the votage across your batt terminals while the bike is NOT, then IS runn...

Re: Battery dead

FYI you can also get an R1 RR as they are way more robust than even the 2nd gen honda unit. Whatever you do, dont get the 1st gen, even if its free. It is only a liability. I still dont trust the li-Ion units and dont see a huge upside to them other than racing, where the wieght savings matters and ...

Re: Jacket mods

Street jacket, armored but broke my collar bone & 3 ribs in this one. Had to pick up hawk to prevent it being stolen, ride it back to garage, get on mountain bike, ride it home, then call ambulance. Thank God for adrenalin.

Re: Jacket mods

Not sure what happened to my original post as when I view it now the text is gone. The story is that doing 12 events/year roadracing and roadrace instructing (2 full trackdays + 2 full days racing each event), you wind up doing 100mph without the bike every so often, so leather repairs become needed...

Re: Fabulous coverage of the Isle of Man TT races.

I saw the coverage every day here in the City. It was on velocity which seems to run a ton of bloke shows. Awesome to watch, but dont like the sidecars. I always thought those were the clowns of the racing world. Like a side show, but I would rather see the main acts. I am racing nationals this week...

I have seen similar vtr projects but that is really beautiful. I like the 2 different wheels. Really awesome bike. I woulda gone double headlight. Which is a small nitpick.

Re: Duck Dynasty

I would like to say that this show represents the lowest common denominator of my great country, and, indeed of human kind. Its trainwreck tv, which permeates tv in general.

You can feel yourself get dumber by the minute watching these "reality" shows. "unwatchable"

Re: Speedo sensor type

Hey, did all my text get covered in that last post? what am I doing wrong? It said this; Not sure if I am understanding the dilema, but TMK all the aftermarket speedos use a magnetic sensor on a wheel. (or at least are able to). I recently swapped to a Koso dash, liked it so then upgraded to a CBR60...

Re: Speedo sensor type

Not sure if I am understanding the dilema, but TMK all the aftermarket speedos use a magnetic sensor on a wheel. (or at least are able to). I recently swapped to a Koso dash, liked it so then upgraded to a CBR600RR dash. The koso had multiple ways to get speed and rev ticks. CBR DASH http://i1057.ph...
