Re: Mini foam filter missing...??
Thanks Tony.mon, I think the last 0.5mm of tightening the cct into the engine was "under tension" which now I'm realising isn't good! So I'll pull it & shave a mm off the 8mm rod, and make sure I've got a 1/4 turn free when fitted. Feeling less of a mechanical engineering god now.. Wel...

Re: Mini foam filter missing...??
Cheers Wicky, your very kind! My reg/rec should turn up tomorrow so, I'll pop it on as soon as. I've come to the decision, I'm going to pull my front cct out again! When I cut the 8mm rod to go in, it was a tight fit (length ways) and as I tightened the two bolts holding the tensioner in to the barr...

Mini foam filter missing...??
Hi, just a quickie....! Can someone tell me what the 2 little foam filters do, located under the air filter? While doing the stopper mod yesterday, I noticed one of the foam bits was only half complete, as if it had been ripped in half exposing two of the holes it is supposed to cover. Guess what I'...

My wallet has that warm fuzzy feeling after being quoted (by a local bike shop) £590 or something around that mark, for a standard cct swap and refused to entertain my explanation of the stopper mod... Pfffff

Firestorm powered lawn mower!!!
