Re: battery recharging

I have replaced the battery about a month ago. Think I will take your advise and look behind the front fairing as I have already checked the starter solenoid and reg rec earth, both are good. Many thanks for all the advise and suggestions.

battery recharging

With a meter attached to the battery, when I increase the revs the voltage reading drops... is this right?? Also every other bike I've owned the headlight brightens when the bike is revved, this one stays the same brightness. Confused. P's I have replaced the reg rec to a Honda finned one.

Starting issues update

So I decided that with battery and charging system all ok that I would check the TPS, it read 540ohms, however there was no 5v input from ECU. I followed wiring to ECU and tested for continuity, all good so according to Haynes this means a new ECU.

Re: Starting problem

Thanks Chris. I'm pretty sure it's not that, I'm wondering if the tps is in need of adjustment after just reading up on it, don't know if this would affect choke operation though.

Charging problem solved fingers crossed

Today is a good day, after months of having charging and starting problems with the battery dying on me I think I may have solved it. The three pin connector which joins the stator output was corroded on the back side where it joins the loom. I have made up three wires and run these directly from st...
