Re: Something wrong when excelerating in first
Hi all. Well here are the symptoms. It was only happening in first and second gear under hard excelaration but now it's happening at constant revs. It's like its fuel starved/air starved missing etc. The noise I hear on slight over run sound like air escaping every beat of the engine. After the bike ...

Re: Something wrong when excelerating in first
Thanks for the help and scan there.
I just checked my breather and it all seems fine. I also was giving it some high revs in others gears for long periods today and it was fine. Only seems to be in first gear.
The clutch seems fine. No juddering.
Kind of lost now

Re: Something wrong when excelerating in first
Certainly up to 7k revs. I try not to go above that.
I was thinking it was something to do with fuel but she runs fine up to 7k in any other gear.

Something wrong when excelerating in first
Hi all. Some of you may remember that my storm was completely submerged in water 6 months ago but all sorted now. I still seem to have a problem when excelerating hard in first gear. It's like the bike is missing or not getting enough fuel. Every other gear is fine. Just first gear has this problem ...

Re: My storm went swimming.
Thanks guys. I will go and check the hoses tomorrow first thing as I am starting to doubt myself now. Are there 4 or 5 hoses that go into the tank? I have the two large ones that go to the carbs and two small ones. I thought one was the vacume and one the breather, but then surely there should be ...

Re: My storm went swimming.
Hi guys. Thanks for the reply. Yes I cleaned the carbs and and they locked good along with the jet. Don't think I can put the vac hose on wrong as it has a different connection. It does geek like it's not getting enough fuel though. If I take the vac pipe off and blow down it,it's not blocked. Any ...

Re: My storm went swimming.
Thanks for the replies guys. Yes I have changed the oil and filter three times and it's now as good as new. The first two changes you could still see water in the oil. Now it stays fresh though. Air filter is new. Plugs were good. Cleaned them and sprayed ht leads with wd40. I was amazed when it ...

Hi all. I am new to this forum so please go easy on me.. Well 3 weeks ago the underground car park where I keep my bike flooded. My storm was completely under fresh, but dirty water for 7 hours. I have got the bike running but I can't seem to get it to rev. It's a little better at reving with the ...
