Re: thinking of selling my VTR
Put a deposit down on an 09 Varadero  Only got 12,000 miles on the clock, FSH and 1 owner. Full givi luggage and crash bars, heated grips, driving lamps etc. Gave it a test ride and instantly fell in love. It's so nice having such a netural riding position where I'm not constantly trying to ...

Re: thinking of selling my VTR
thanks for the heads up, but with all considered I think I might go for the varadero. I love the v twin engine too much to swap to an st or a tiger and I really fancy doing some long mileage and a varadero will be much better suited to all the local roads and such and it would be handy to have a ...

Re: thinking of selling my VTR
What do flat bars do that will help? I've tried bar risers to raise the bars up a bit but those didn't help. It's not just the VTR that kills my wrists though, pretty much any sporty sort of bike where i'm lent over gives me gripes. Didnt used to be so bad but it's getting silly now and I don't want ...

thinking of selling my VTR
Don't want to do it as it's hands down the most fun and 'me' bike in terms of personality I've ever owned. But... I just can't do any serious riding on it as I have the wrists and hands of a 90 year old arthritic woman... With rickets. Got carpal tunnel and RSI related sh1t so need something ...

Re: Whats your biggest work related fookup?
Didnt really have much time to be scared. My only thought was NOT THE wombles LORRY.
then next thing I knew I was splattered on the windscreen.
There was a bit of a strange odour in the cab afterwards though.

Whats your biggest work related fookup?
5 o'clock last thing Friday bullsh1t. Ironically, it was the stupid 'safety' feature that made this happen. Was over the lorry about to tip and the load alarm came on which locks the wombles hydraulics. If I could have tipped then there would have been no issue. So I had to back up which made the ...

Re: Muslim Intergration??
Patriotism may be the last refuge of scoundrels, but religion is assuredly the first. baldrocks to ALL religion. It's not so much that I have an issue with any actual given people, it's religion that I wombles despise. If the same amount of effort was put into science, medicine, conservation and ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I can't be trusted with tool chests. It's either an excuse to then have to spend a sh1t load of money to fill them up or I generally just end up burying it in a pile of stuff/rubbish that just gets built up on top of it as I'm too lazy to find anywhere else to dump stuff :whatever I rock the old ...

Re: home/bike disasters
Can't claim to have played shenanigans in the house like you guys as when I was at home my parents would never have stood for it and if I pulled any of that sh1t now with my bird I'd be dismantled into lots of tiny bloody pieces  Though, when I was sharing a house with a few mates we pulled ...

Re: Muslim Intergration??
Also anybody else think its wombles ironic that nobody, not even muslims, can even joke, imitate, depict or in any way caricaturise or sully the name of the prophet muhammad without the penalty of death, yet it's alright for half of their population to be called that and run around disgracing his ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Well that was alright. Advisory on brake pads and chain tension. Amazingly they didn't issue an 'exhaust noisy' advisory which is ironic as my VTR is the loudest bike I've ever heard  Even my old XR650 with a straight pipe which was f***ing ridiculous doesn't have a patch on how loud this VTR ...
