Re: some bad news....(chico tonto/silly boy)
You have probably all seen this but if not it's well worth a watch. A presentation by John Hinds (RIP) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsZBXlTHPCg Quite a number of interesting points. For me one was the confirmation that it's OK (good) to take the helmet off. Back in the old days we were told not ...

Re: some bad news....(chico tonto/silly boy)
I've just finished a safe riding course. One of the most common places for a biker to have a bad accident is on a narrow country road with a blind left hand bend (LH UK, RH continental). Either the bike drifts wide or a car cuts the corner. Bang. Not completely applicable to this incident but plenty ...

I'm tempted to say, feck it, I'm coming. It's a long way from Northumberland for an old git. But, have rucksac and bottle of Scotch, will travel. Need to adjust the bike this morning. Who knows. May see you....

Re: Op Storm Wales 11-13 Sept 2015
Ive managed to chuck my RSV down the road on the way to work yesterday morning. Turns out track tyres have absolutely no grip when cold. First corner and the front went. Very annoying! The last time I use race scrubs on the road. Right rearsets and clipons are fooked. So I won't be making it to ...

I think that's the plan. To get on the boat from Holyhead.fabiostar wrote:

comming from that direction may be easier to go via wales into dublin port then its only about 60 mlies up the road to the meeting point.

Re: Fao travis and/or Mike
I'm having trouble fitting the standard exhausts back onto my Firestorm as they don't seem to line up properly with the original pipes for some reason. I'm working out whether I need to wiggle the downpipes around to get everything lined back up, and in the process make sure that the cans & link ...

Re: Michelin Pilot Road 3
It's amazing how little crap on the road can make a tyre break traction. Almost invisible amounts of mud, dust, gravel, diesel, oil, road kill, plants, cow sh1t (etc... the list is never ending) can make a wheel skip out almost regardless of lean angle. Happened to me today (twice) on roads recently ...
