Re: Flat bars, who'd you use?
Watching with interest as was thinking about either risers for standard clipons or a bar conversion of some type

Re: adjustable foot pegs
Right now I'm not remotely close to peg down as I'm not confident in the bike at all. Just feels like it wants to slip away from me when I lean and on road and likely even track I doubt I will get that low. But just wanted to be sure I could drop them a bit without to much issues. Looks like it will ...

Re: adjustable foot pegs
Did consider seat recover but cost is a downside and loss of the rear pod that I like the look of.
Plus side is could get my fat butt a bit further back lol
So definitely on the think about list if I win the lottery
Along with bar risers, new cans and fairing lowers

adjustable foot pegs
Had my vtr a week or so now and might try to tweak it a bit to fit me better. For such a big bike I was surprised how cramped I feel on it. normally ride a fazer1000 but traded my Fireblade for the vtr and find it more cramped for legs and reach on arms. I'm not the fastest rider in the world by a ...

I have a carbtune to. Can't fault it.
Not the cheapest way but has paid for itself time and again.
Btw if anyone near me needs to use one your welcome to pop in and use mine.

Broken mirror mounts
While checking my new toy over today I noticed both mirror mounts are broken at the bottom hole. So the mirrors move when you ride. Anyone know somewhere that might have the mounts? Stems and mirrors are perfect Seems a shame to put on some after market ones if I don't have to. If it comes to me ...

Re: rear seat cover stuck
Thank you all SO much! Taken awhile but seat now off and I didn't snap any plastic :) Cable wasn't snapped it just had not been connected on the catch. Reconnected the cable and seat on / off with ease. Tip for anyone this happens to..... Undo 2 front bolts from tail Section. Gently unclip the seat ...

Re: rear seat cover stuck
Ok found a way to stop lock turning. No help, still locked. But it does turn 1/4 and spring back. So seems to be ok. Got the cover off with a lot of fiddle and got the tail Section released at front. Now I can gently pull that down and see the lock. No cable attached lol. So that's the problem. Not ...

rear seat cover stuck
Just got a 1998 vtr1000 today Tried to take the rear seat cover off and might be doing it wrong lol but I assume you key in the back lock and this releases the cover or maybe whole seat. Only the lock just keeps turning around. I can feel and hear something flapping around inside I think. Any way to ...

Hello from a new VTR owner
Just a hello from me as I just picked up a 1998 red vtr1000 Not put any pics online yet so can't show it. Has carbon front mudguard and hugger , tail tidy and manual tensioners lol Someone has gutted the OE exhausts but no keen on the idea. Does this mess up fueling or flow? Oh and both mirrors are ...
