Well done sounds like you've been enjoying yourself. Going to do a few more miles and then decide. Thanks for the help.

Lightened Flywheel
I'm thinking of trying a lightened flywheel but I'm concerned about the effect on the durability of the bottom end. My question is how does this compare to the SP1? Is the flywheel similar but lighter, are the bearings similar dimensions and what about the crank train and compression ratios. I know ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Finishing off mcct fitting. Had a near miss, on the rebuild I wasn't completely happy with the feel of the cam guide small bolt on the rear cylinder. Bike up and running but not feeling happy so pulled the rear down again and had another look. On closer inspection found that the bolt was necking and ...

Re: Cool n Comfy flat bar conversion.
Update 're. The top Yoke. I measured up from the bottom Yoke and kept the distance as standard. Keep in mind the standard set up is designed to allow the bars to be mounted on fork leg, above the yoke. First ride today and it's a massive difference. Very comfortable, really good visability, great ...

The grub screws were for attaching the ignition barrel so the steering lock still lines up. Only issue was that I cracked the ...

Re: Cool n Comfy flat bar conversion.
Ok so kit turned up today, nearly 3 weeks delivery time. What I will say however is that Matt responded to all text enquiries and phone calls promptly. The kit seems top quality so I now have hopefully the weekend for garage time and fiddling. I will upload some pictures once I've worked out how to.

Re: Immobiliser Problem
Had the same experience with a datatool alarm. My recommendation is disconnect it. You don't need to be an electrician. Just find the wiring diagram for your alarm on the net. I suspect all wires are black so it may help to put some tape around each wire and number it to start off with so you can ...

Re: bar risers
Just ordered a kit. I suspect the hydraulic lines will need replacing with longer but the rest should be ok depending on which bars you go for.

Re: Cool n Comfy flat bar conversion.
Ok bit the bullet and ordered a full set in natural alluminum with brake and clutch lines and an ignition extender. I've gone for grey ultra low renthal bars. I will take some before and after pictures before I start. For now I need to see how CNC'S delivery is. I should get the kit for the weekend.

Re: Cool n Comfy flat bar conversion.
Thanks guys. Jealousy came from the comfort of the ride on the street fighter. I've considered a change of bike but like the character of the storm. It's a good point on the narrowness of the storm so that's something to consider. I'm leaning towards the black yoke with ignition still in place. The ...
