Re: Fairing VTR Decal
Thanks for all the info.
I've bought an all black one off eBay but even with the correct font/size it just doesn't look right against the tank decal.. But I will give the image works a call tomorrow thanks geoff.

Fairing VTR Decal
Hi, Anyone know where I can get an original VTR fairing decal, the bike is yellow Y124p. David Silver says they are now discontinued, and no stock left at Honda. I've looked online in general but the only stickers I can find have the same font/sizing but come in all black, the one on mine is a gold ...

Re: Starting problems
I thought I'd give it a go today, tried starting but same as usual, loads of tries before it would fire up. I took the tank off and just enough pipe length to put it where the seat was. Airbox off ans check for any broken/split pipes etc. Couldn't see anything that looked wrong so put everything ...

Re: Starting problems
Thanks all.
I'll try all these starting ideas over this coming week as I'm still off work.
Hopefully one will work, if not I'll drain tank, take it off and search for any problems there.
Cheers

Re: Starting problems
Too much crap in the way as I knew I couldn't ride it for months after shoulder op, and keep moving it in and out ain't gonna happen, so I tucked it up the corner of the garage out the way. That and the neighbours would be pissed with the noise so I generally start it in the garage anyway.

Re: Starting problems
Lloydie, I've just been out to try your way now bike is cold again but it just turned over and over on the starter without even sounding like it would ever start. It only ever sounds like it will start once I pull the choke out slightly while cranking it over with a little throttle but it still took ...

Re: Starting problems
Ha, I knew you'd say that about syphoning fuel off, I've got 1x5lts container only so will have to find a 10ltr as tank is full.
Cheers for info I'll refer back to this once I start

Re: Starting problems
Cheers Mac, I was hoping no one would say take the tank off. 2 reasons, the tank is full, and I've had a shoulder op 2 weeks ago, and only had the stitches out on Friday so lugging things around at the moment is a no no. I won't be riding for at least a couple of months anyway so there is no rush ...

Starting problems
I've been having starting issues ever since I got the bike really. It's a bugger to initially start, the battery is fine, starter motor is fine. It just takes ages messing around with the throttle/choke to get it running. Once it does start to run even if I turn it off after say 20/30 seconds, it ...

Re: Y124p yellow paint
When they mix up paint they don't measure by ml or volume they actually measure by weight. That's why if you have say a litre specially made it is never a litre. They will mix as close to the litre as possible so could only end up with 850ml I only found that yesterday at Halfords, and again today ...

Re: Y124p yellow paint
Maybe it was mixed wrong Try a can from here, I've used them a fair bit and always good colour matching. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-Y124P-YELLOW-Aerosol-Paint-400ML-/270586176331?hash=item3f0031634b:m:mWad8JeE2zN2NZpD9IVDICg The only other way round it would be to respray the whole fairings. I ...
