Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: what have you done to your

Candy Blue was always my fave colour, apart from a couple of age/wear realted minor niggles and a chain snapping, ive done a few thousand miles on it now without it leaving me stranded, a standard LC is in a pretty soft state of tune eh? My friend has just bought a tricked up 250M like in your very...

Bazza's MCCT's?

I've been trying to PM bazza696 but it looks like my message is just sitting in my Outbox :? Was hoping to get hold of a set of his MCCT's, the ones which use the Honda auto's. I have a spare set of Honda auto's ready for conversion if needed. Either way, if anyone knows the best way to contact bazz...

Re: RE: Re: david silver and cam chain tensioner

So I have a question - I'm still torn between MCCT's or stopper mod, what I want to know is, with MCCT's, as they are set to a fixed length do you get more cam chain noise than you would on an auto, and will this decrease the chain life over a certain mileage in comparison? yes, you set the MCCT wi...

Re: RE: Re: Honda Cam Chain Tensioners - Life Expectancy From New

I don't think you will get an exact answer.. when looking about for info and talking about auto ccts a lot of answers are simply opinionated with the only fact that matters being that they certainly are troublesome to say the least and they lack rhyme or reason as to why or when they will go. Do th...

Honda Cam Chain Tensioners - Life Expectancy From New

I know there's loads on here regarding the cam chain tensioner issues, autos, manuals, stopper mods etc. What I was wondering was, do we have a reasonable estimation of what kind of mileage stock autos might fail at. I know there's the general consensus that they can go at any time, but surely brand...

Re: Starter Motor Terminal - Would You Bother?

Thanks for the help everyone. I found a slim 10mm spanner but could not budge the outer nut (which started to round off) so I decided to go down the hacksaw route. Worked a treat :) Cut the outer nut in half, removed the terminal and gave everything a decent wire brush and clean up. Put it all back ...

Re: RE: Re: Starter Motor Terminal - Would You Bother?

Grind a spanner down or, do what I did. Hacksaw down the centre of the stud, through the top nut. Which then falls away. Clean everything up and put new nuts on. The stud having a slot in it won't make any difference. Replace the rubber boot with plenty of grease underneath it. Once the top nut is ...
