Re: It's been on the Dyno, and...

I have a Factory Pro kit in my garage if anyone is after one.

Roger at Revolution set mine up and fitted a Dynojet Kit, so this one is surplus. :)

£40 posted if anyone wants it, PM me.

Re: HOTEL KEY CARDS WARNING

Doing that would be in breach of the Data Protection Act anyway.

Smelled of spam before Cupa kindly linked it.

Re: Sprockets / Gearing - Blunder?......

Shouldn't be a worry.

IIRC the 15/42 is a Renthal kit with an X-Ring chain and somebody on here should want it. :)

I'm not slagging anything.

But the hyperbole was contentious.

"THIS BIKE IS THE BEST LOOKING & SOUNDING VTR OUT THERE BAR NONE"

Hmm...

I have to take issue with that. Mine looks better and sounds every bit as good.

It goes and stops better too.

Re: Rolling road yesterday!

That is pretty good. The atmospherics will be different, but its putting out about the same as mine*, so it might well have a jet kit and filter to suit the exhausts too. If its just running on standard kit with just cans on, thats very impressively well set up. Nice one. * K&N Filter, Dynojet c...

Re: Late bite

Yep, mine's just the same too. Honda are well known for having a particularly clunky 1st to 2nd in most of their gearboxes and the Storm is no different. I don't worry about it too much as with all the torque I don't need to redline in 1st before changing up. Actually, most hydraulic clutches I've e...

Honda Firestorm *BRAND NEW MODEL*

This has just been released.

Strong focus on green issues and eco-friendlyness.

Dunno what the performance figures might be like yet.

New Firestorm Clicky

Looks very nice though.

I'm excited and tempted. Can't wait to see on ein my local dealers.

Re: value advice - non VTR

1998 R1's are becoming semi-classic like original Blades. Research suggests it should be worth around about £1800-£2000. If it really is mint (be honest with yourself) then hold out for top end. Low mileage (<10,000) 1999 models I can find for £2999 from dealers and a 98 on Ebay goes for around Â...

Re: best tyres for storm??

36 front, 42 rear. A lot of people talk baldrocks about dropping pressures for more grip etc. <rant> There's a reason the people WHO MAKE THE FRIKKIN TYRES recommend these pressures. You think they spend all that money on figuring out how their product performs best and then your mate down the pub k...
