Re: Perennial Squid. New to Vtr

G'Day,

I had similar issues with mine idling poorly and cutting out. Check for vacuum leaks at the carbs and the PAIR system. I removed the PAIR system on mine and replaced a leaky pipe on the front carb and it runs great now

Re: G'Day

G'Day,

VTR is running great now. Not sure exactly what the problem was as I altered multiple things at once, but I suspect it was an air leak on the PAIR system affecting the front carb. Thanks for the help and suggestions, I can get on with riding it now :D

Re: high RPM misfire

Hi,
Mine is now running great. Idling properly and no 8000RPM misfire. Cleaned carbs, removed PAIR system and fitted new plugs and vacuum lines. I cant say which was the culprit as all the work was done at the same time. Hope this helps.

I have pulled the carbs off and am cleaning everything but haven't got it back together yet. The only thing that I have found is a potential ai...

Re: G'Day

Probably didn't explain this very well. The PAIR system has 2 large tubes that go to the cylinder heads. It also has a small diameter tube coming from the PAIR actuator that connects to the Air Circuit Valve via a T piece. With the T piece left open the bike runs with it blocked off the bike stalls,...

Re: G'Day

Thanks Guys Almost too warm to be riding in Perth at the minute....almost  Thanks for the tips , I have removed the carbs and am giving them a clean, but didn't find anything obviously wrong anywhere. Whilst its apart I have removed the PAIR and have noticed something strange though. I had the...

Not only is it my 1st VTR its also my first Honda (only took 30 years!). As much as I am loving it, I cant get a consistent idle, one day it is at 1300rpm, the next its...
