Re: SP2 Swing arm project

Sorry to dig up an old thread but can I ask how the SP2 swingarm bolts into the VTR engine?
Do you use the VTR pivot axle or the SP2 pivot axle?
What spacers are needed?
Thanks.

Re: Starting engine

Sorry to dig up an old thread.

Are these modified brass choke cable nuts still available?
I'd need a set or 2 of them for my carbs.

G. L. S. R....... Can you help?
Or anyone?

Re: Carbon hugger for vtr/900 braced swingarm

Is the R1 hugger a good fit?
What year R1 would give the best fit?
Thanks.

Re: Carbon hugger for vtr/900 braced swingarm

The brace for the swingarm came off of a 97 Fireblade, the hugger was an E Bay purchase and I cant remember the supplier I'm afraid. This is mine. I don't know what year of blade the brace is off. Mine seems to have a slope on the inside of it and a very small slope on the outside. Wonder what year...

Carbon hugger for vtr/900 braced swingarm

Hi.
I recently got hold of a vtr/900 braced swingarm.

I've just seen this hugger on Kev L's bike
Does anyone know where to get this carbon rear hugger?
And what year of bike it's for?
Thanks.

Re: Swingarm to brace or not to brace...

Sorry for digging up an old thread.
I have just purchased a vtr/900 braced swingarm.

Can anyone tell me the make of that beautiful carbon rear mudguard on KevL swingarm?
Or where to get 1?
Thanks

Re: Hello from Dublin

Thanks for the welcome folks.
It's not much of a bike at the moment.
More of a project actually.
Currently having a 45/50mm full system fabricated for it with 370mm titanium end cans either side.

So I joined up here to learn about the VTR engine and bike and see how I can improve it.

Bigger clutch slave cylinder.

Hi folks.
Do any other Honda bikes use bigger clutch slave cylinders than the Firestorm.

What about the Cbr1000rr?

Another Firestorm owner suggested to me about using a bigger clutch slave to get a better clutch feel and less grab when launching hard away from the lights.

Thanks.
