Re: Carole Nash Insurance
If I could offer some feedback on eBike here as its come up a few times. I had used them for about 4 years. When I last insured with them I realised I'd overstated my No Claims by a year so rang up to correct it. Nope, everything is done via the web, no call centre service AT ALL. Yes I appreciate t...

Re: Stuck seat
Oh my God, this is fantastic!
Took the hooks off and I can take the seat on and off! This should be on the front page of the owners manual!
Although I've just told the missus a man on the internet said I can't carry heavy things anymore. She didn't look best pleased.
Cheers

Re: Stuck seat
Once its off, if you dont take pillions, remove the two metal hook things that are bolted on to bottom of seat, makes it easier to get off and on. But dont if you carry pillions who use grab strap on seat, unless you dont like them :) Hang on, you mean the big metal hooks that hold the seat down, n...

Re: L.P.P PAINT of Preston
Yeah, I took the seat cover in but he didn't seem much interested in looking at it. I gave him the paint code and he said "it's 96% silver plus something else, so you might as well get the off the shelf silver" I said no, I'd rather have the mix/matched one, now I'm wondering if it was a g...

Re: SP1 white smoke - loads of it
Hi, Took mine for an MOT the other week and mentioned it was a little rough on idle and didn't like to tick over without the choke about a 1/4 of the way out. The mechanic said "put some carb cleaner in the petrol", I said "Redex" he said "yeah". So I've got a bottle of...

Re: Stuck seat
Don't think mine has ever come off smoothly. I managed to snap the little tab at the back of the seat cover wrestling with it one day. Usually I find giving it a good thump to make sure it's traveled as far "back" as possible helps before you start tugging. Gonna try that hook removal tip,...

Re: L.P.P PAINT of Preston
Hi, not been around for a while but I wanted to say cheers for the heads up on Halfords, and to add that as well as the spray cans they'll make you up a bottle of touch-up paint for £10. Put a bit on and it seems a shade darker, is that normal, I'm assuming it dries lighter but it already seems pre...

Sat Nav/Autocom advice
Hi, Just a quick question hopefully. I'm running a lead from the handlebars to the underseat for a sat nav to an autocom under the seat. Am I OK running it through the space between the tank and the "engine" or should I try and run it further down through the frame where the other leads di...

Hi, Thanks for the excellent tips on the battery and brakes. I'm 99% certains it was the loose chain causing the banging, I've been out a couple times without the noise appearing (is that what sounds do?!) Handily enough I picked up a multi meter from Aldi the other day, was about 6 quid i think if ...

What exacly does a tensioner sound like when it goes
Hi everyone, first post so be gentle. Coming back from Wales, been on the road about 4 hours (gotta love that stop and fill up every 100 miles) Going up hill, I start to hear an uneven "knocking" noise under load only. the bike ticks over and revs up just fine. With the prospect of a broke...
