Exhaust
Does anyone have experience of Delkelvic exhaust systems? I like the look of some of the options that they have available. Alternatively, if you have fitted a system that has really impressed you, which is it and why please.

Re: Occasional full-throttle hesitation
That's great! I'm pleased that you have found your solution, and I'm certainly gonna pull mine out for a good look, possibly tomorrow, even though I can't quite see how it would cause the problem that I have. Best news for you is now being able to concentrate on the missus and new arrival, I'm sure ...

Re: Stumbling at 5000 rpm petcock question
Hi. Have you sorted this yet? I hope so, and if yes, then it would be good to hear what it was. If not, it does sound like a blocked or gummed up jet to me. I have known on another bike of mine, where removing the brass jet is not actually the jet at all, but merely an elongated cover, which, when r...

Re: Occasional full-throttle hesitation
These intermittent type snags are often tricky to nail down. You have other considerations because of the amount of things that have been done, in addition to reasonable fault examination and diagnosis. If I was approaching this problem cold, I'd say that the symptom was electrical, because of the, ...

Re: Oil cooler pipelines
Hi Mac, thanks for the prompt response. I'm disappointed that I'm too late for your version, mainly because it was a great scheme that would have enabled me to have absolute minimum downtime! I don't suppose that you have any end fittings kicking around do ya? At a pinch I could send some to Pirtek ...

Re: Occasional full-throttle hesitation
Without looking anything up, and from my piss poor memory only, I disturbed four pipes. Feed to each carb, vacuum from the inlet, and one other, so likely a tank breather? More knowledgeable people could probably finesse these down to a likely culprit, but I'd be surprised if a case couldn't be made...

Re: Occasional full-throttle hesitation
Hi. I'm not sure if this is going to be of any help to you, but my bike recently developed the exact same problem! It was fine, then I changed the front cct, now I have this hesitation occasionally when I open her up. Thing is, I took a chance and only changed the one cct, and I only unshipped the t...

Re: Oil cooler pipelines
Thanks Wicky. From your previous link, it seems that Mac's version uses tube rather than braid, which I'd prefer, especially if it's stainless. However, I am unable to pm him, nor can I post a reply to the thread that you linked. I can't see anything that I'm doing wrong, so can only guess that I'm ...

Thanks for the quick replies guys!
I think that I prefer the idea of tube type rather than braid, so I'll pm Mac and see what's what. Cheers.

Oil cooler pipelines
Hi. I've just been looking over the bike and my oil cooler pipelines are a bit cruddy. Is it possible to buy stainless replacements from anyone? I'd rather do that than fit standard types. My google search and e-bay trawl didn't turn up anything, but I bet somebody does them!

Re: CCT Problem Solved (100% guaranteed)
"There's no definitive answer, do your research on the knowledgebase and decide whats best for you." Yes indeed, and my query was part of that very research that you rightly mention. Seems to me that the idea of having a spring incorporated is desirable, but only if it can be relied upon n...

Re: CCT Problem Solved (100% guaranteed)
Okay, so I have to admit that I'm confused. Seems like there were a couple of ideas about how to go about this fix, use a spring, or not, test it on an engine then post results etc. Did all this happen? What is the current best idea about how to address this problem, and which are the components to ...

Re: Random engine cutout
I hope that your cutting out snag is cured, but if it happens again, and you have an alarm/immobiliser, fitted, then it may pay you to check that side of things out. I've had one fail before, in an intermittent manner, I ended up removing the alarm. Problem solved.
