I popped the fairing back on this afternoon with the fresh looking brackets. I was going to use aluminium rivet nuts instead of the little plastic fittings but changed my mind and used rubber well nuts instead. Nice firm fixing but with a bit of rubbery flexibility

Little blasting cabinet makes things a lot easier

Whipped the fairing off to have a bit of a rummage around and took it upon myself to focus on sorting out the two brackets that were scabby. I don't consider myself to be a particularly slow rider but I keep off the brakes and keep my speed up - last 'brim to brim' showed a gnat's under 40mpg.
