finally got bike going.im in Australia and its quite hot .my engine got to about 3/4 on the guage(it's a 98 model)and the fan did not operate.coolant is new.any ideas ?

Cam chain (rear) seems very tight with the standard tensioner.I followed all procedures and fitted the Mcct.it nearly wound all the way in with maybe 5mm of thread left.doesnt seem right to me .Any ideas

i stumbled across this forum while looking for parts for my newly acquired 98 vtr1000 and joined immediately. got some good info today so its already paid off.thanks for the links .

any help would b eappreciated.I have tried everything to remove to remove the allen headed cover in the alternator cover.I am in the process of fitting mcct.
