Re: Best cans
Anything good to say about the DanMoto cans? They're on my list but haven't committed yet. No. Cheap shite, very thin not really carbon, carbon. Very loud apparently with a silly design of baffel that fits in the lick pipe end of the can. Thanks for the feedback. My baffelectomy stockers will do ju...

Re: Kind of new
Welcome back Dave.
Lots of rehab and hitting the gym for strength trading does wonders for rehab work.
Stay on your dream of getting back into things even though it may take time. The rewards are worth the effort.
Best of luck.

Re: Fun With Rattle Cans & Sticky Backed Vinyl
Very nice looking bike and I noticed this as I'm in the process of doing something similar albeit a bit different. 854062D9-CF95-4941-BF9B-B1B27B14A9B1.png Did you do this yourself with the peg delete or was it purchased like this. It looks really good and smoothly done. Very cleanly done and looks ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
What, no bins in the picture?  VMax was one of my favorite bikes when I was wishing a lot for another 2 wheel ride years ago. Your yellow Storm is gorgeous and I wish I could have had that color when I bought my FireHawk. I love that yellow color ever since I had my Paseo for 12 years wh...

Re: Say hello to my little friend.
Thanks Chris. :Beer1: I've spent all day reading and learning about syncing the carbs, what parts are needed and where they're located, and feel it should be a pretty simple affair to do. I've always been in fear dealing with stuff like this as it always seemed so hard to figure it out but the more ...

Re: Say hello to my little friend.
Not a fan of a cut down cast one, they're not strong enough for pillion pegs, but too bulky for can hangers. What's wrong with a nice light carbon one? Carbon would be nice but pretty expensive. 8O I tend to agree with what you're saying about them being a bit bulky for just can hangers but I do en...

Re: Say hello to my little friend.
Different look. Marty had something similar done on his first Storm back in about, 2010 I think. His weren’t quite as reduced as yours but they looked good on the bike. Well done, Thank you sir. I wanted it to stay stock but with added touch and also something different. I enjoy...

Re: Say hello to my little friend.
Well even though I'm on the freight shaker I'm still making a bit of progress on the rear peg delete/ muffler mounts. I've got one finished and it's a bit rough but when I get home and sand and smooth it out should look good. :biggrin  Here's a couple of pics of before and after. I still ha...

Re: Hello - a new VTR rider
Just let her run for 10min to get to temp, oil level still perfect and I couldn’t see any leaks around the new mcct’s or the plastic covers and nothing dripping down. Sounds and runs great. Had a little light smoking just under the tank right of the carbs but that stopped and didn’t smell of anythi...

Re: Hello - a new VTR rider
The CCT’s have been done and now are MCCT’s!! I followed the instructions from on here which was amazing and super helpful, though the 2.5 hour job time was a little bit of and underestimate 😂 it too me all day! 6 hours start to finish but I did go slow and take my time. Gonna run the bike at home ...
