Re: why does my sidelight come on with the brakes?
Made my evening it did, had a couple of sherries to celebrate. Thanks again, you saved me hours of frustration. I spoke to my son in law next day, he said it happens to older Land Rover Discoveries, causing a fault with the suspension! Always good to have a forum to share things with, many heads are...

why does my sidelight come on with the brakes?
Hi, I've got a 1999 model, I noticed when putting the bike in the garage that when I put the brakes on (front or rear) the sidelight comes on and the speedo and tacho light up. I've looked at a wiring diagram and they all seem to be on the same circuit (brown wire). i cannot understand why this shou...

Hi, my Speedo has packed up, so looking for used one on eBay. My bike is a 99 model, Do you know if the later version will fit with the led panel? I wondered if I had enough of the right wires to make it work, thanks
E10 fuel
I see we are going to get E10 fuel soon - any issues with the Firestorm? Govt website says carb bikes might not run so well in the cold.

Question on swing arm removal
Morning Quick question on the removal of the swing arm to regrease, how on earth do you hold the bike up? I have an ABBA stand but obviously cannot use the swing arm nuts to support the bike, I tried to use the rear engine bolt where it attaches to the frame, that wont work. ABBA do supply a kit to ...

Re: to reshim or not, that is the question
Thanks guys, the only reason i asked was that I read elsewhere on the forum that the clearances tend to tighen up rather than get larger.
I shall get reshiming at the weekend! The front is a bit akward to get at, radiators will be coming off as well
Lets hope nothing falls in the engine

to reshim or not, that is the question
Hi all, i have another valve question i could do with your views on. My bike has just done 16,000 miles so whilst replacing the CCT's I checked the valves. Everything was spot on apart fom the from the right front exhaust - this was at 0.35 just outside tollerance. Do I need to go to all the effort ...

lockdown project
Now that we have been locked down for the winter I thought I would get a project to work on. I am the proud owner of a 98 'Storm with 16K on the clock - don't people use bikes these days? I've got more miles on a 3 year old BMW. Might be looking for some help on cam chain tensioners and regulator/re...
