Re: Handlebar Risers
Excellent read Ian and lots of good info, I'm also converting to 28mm bars and never thought to look at the top yoke pockets so many thanks for that little pearl. After that I need to make some rearsets as a little scrote nicked my bike and dropped it on the off side (why are only left rearsets for ...

Re: How to balance your carbs
Well, as I said previously it seems like one job leads to another. While I was sorting out the vacuum pipe I thought I might as well find the reason why the choke didn't work. This is what I pulled out the carb.
Guess I'm buying new starter valve sets.

Re: How to balance your carbs
Thanks Hawk, but my problem is that where the pie goes into the carb it appears to be sheared off and I don't know where or how to route a new pipe

Opinions on colour
Hi guys
Just want an opinion on the colour, v5 says silver but I'm thinking red or white, I was quoted ££400 for just the tank in the original red so tried this as an experiment

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Put the seat unit on to see if I like it in white, it's silver on the v5, painted in yellow emulsion by previous owner so i bought a set of red fairing plastics but they're 3 different shades.
Re: Choke
Not just the choke Tony Got to replace the forks too so got k tech linear springs and bush/seal kit and in an eBay dispute as a breaker sent me a fork with a bent tube, subframes twisted, frames got a hole in the headstock, front tyres punctured, brakes are shot, brackets for fairing are broke ...
Re: Choke
Thanks Mac
Tried everything bar the strip down, personally I think the previous owner/owners have mullered it so with the rest of the issues it looks like I'm bikeless till next year, teaches me a lesson about trusting people I guess.

Choke
Hi guys I'm stripping down 'old yeller' as the previous owner must have been a right muppet, the choke only comes out about 1/4" and does absolutely nothing. I can't see any reason it's being stopped but was wondering if there was something inside the carbs that could be causing it. It looks like I ...
