I don't know if these are really true or not.. but they are good From: http://woolcat4eva.tripod.com/index12.html Police arrested Malcolm Davidson, a 27 year old white male, resident ofWimbledon, in a pumpkin patch at 11:38 pm Friday. Davidson will be charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, publi...

True story #2

A man and a woman were "letting off steam" in a Fiat Uno, which they had parked in a lay-by near Florence. Suddenley, the man screamed out in pain! In the confined space of the Uno, which is one of the smallest cars in the world, he had strained his back and as a result, couldn't move. His...

Sorry this is so late, but I have the triples and usd's from a 954rr Fireblade on my vtr. Works much better all around. I changed everything over, brakes and all. The only hard part was I needed special clip-ons, I got some uber-adjustable ones from CycleCat. They have a 2.5 inch lift over stock fir...

I don't know if this will make you guys feel better... I am in the US, and I have the dynojet kit in my bike. I really regret installing the dynojet kit on my bike. After the kit install, it seems like the carbs fall out of balance much faster. I am no expert on carbs, but my guess is that the drill...

well... you *could* still mount the pillion pegs if you used spacers, but the mufflers would likely contact the tire at full suspension compression. That set up looks sweet, I used to get asked about it all the time. I even got pulled over by a cop once, and he was asking more questions about the ex...

Topic: Carbon Cans Query - Suitable for VTR?

The main reason is the exhaust temp is much higher on a v-twin than an inline 4. BMW's are known for Very high exhaust temps. If you go to the Two Brothers website, you will see they don't offer carbon cans for BMW's. They do for the VTR's, but include a sticker basically stating something like, &qu...

This will be REALLY different: I am in the US and I imported Firestorm bodywork for my Superhawk. I am reluctant to take my bike to a trackday because if I mess up the Firestorm bodywork I will be major-pissed off. I still have my stock Superhawk bodywork and I have been looking for somthing differe...

yea... the computer uses the tps and water temp (?) to vary the timing for best performance. If I wasn't so lazy, I would look in my repair manual to be sure about the water temp! :D

Granty, I am sorry you feel this way. I have to ask, why didn't you do a little investigating BEFORE spending your every last penny? If you wanted a top notch Honda v-twin canyon racer, why not buy the RC51? I really feel that the VTR1000 is a super bike if you use it as it was intended. It is a gre...

Re: 2-up

Are you OK with loosing the back pegs? And, check out the room between the pipes and your feet. They uses the stock headers. They're slipons.. 8) TJ 8) I know they are slip-ons. Take a close look at how close the pipe comes to the heel guard for the driver foot pegs. Ultra-high pipes like that for ...

Those look a kind of like the Wolf pipes I am selling. (see for sale, with link to picture). Are you OK with loosing the back pegs? And, check out the room between the pipes and your feet. The bracket looks pretty trick, and I like the black cans too. The cans look short (16 inch?) so expect them to...

I also think the VTR1000 is too much bike for a starter bike. If the power of a 1000cc bike doens't kick your butt first, the insurance for a 1000cc bike will. Most of us drop our first bike a few times anyway. Why spend the $$ ? If you like the sound, why not go for a SV650? They really do have a g...

I bought my VTR with 4,500 miles on it, and I have over 40,000 now. It has occasionaly backfired through the carbs ever since I got it. It doesn't seem to hurt anything, and I have heard of other VTR's doing the same. The only problem it causes me (I think) is that it knocks my the "little rubb...

I did some checking around... those Jardines are cheap. Suspeciously cheap. They are almost half the cost of any other set of slip-ons. You might want to check them out. If you want to buy any of that stuff, let me know. My name is Robert. You can call the number I posted to make arrangements, or fo...
