I'm currently on BT021's which I rate.

Have done nearly 8000 miles on them (which includes x7 trackdays), & the rear is almost at the tread depth limit... so will be changing them soon.

I've heard Avon Storms are good as a sports touring tyre, but have never tried them myself.

Mmmmmmmmm. beginning to see a pattern here.... :D The tip about lubing the front one regularly with a lubricant like TEFOIL seems a good idea, I was just going to squirt engine oil down the bolt hole.... In my experience, it's usually the front one that goes, cos it gets hotter than the rear one!

However, I do know of rear ones that have failed.

Look alright John dont they?let me know if you get any,and what quality they are.I know they are cheaper than the Rhencullen ones used to be.But theres were made of a hybrid carbon/kevlar weave,and a much heavier cloth,shame they arent still about.S,pose for £35 its worth a punt. :D got some comin...

I've got a new rear sprocket (+ 2 teeth) which i'm gonna fit...

.. now people say that if you change sprockets you should change the chain too. What do you lot think?
