Batterys back on the bike and she fired up fine . Standing the reading was 13.4v, on tick over it reahed 14.7v then when run up to 5,000 she read 13,7 so looks like the battery and RR are fine. Well the batterys on the optimate and all looks good with it. Got full lights up on so must be ok. Will put the battery back on the bike tomorrow and use the multi meter to check the charge rate at 5,000rpm with the lights on , that will show me if the RR has gone or not. :thumbup:

What I dont understand is why the bike cut out. The battery is only a storage device for power to start the bike, once started it could be removed and the bike would still run ? Also, when the RR went on my storm it cooked the battery and stank like rotten eggs, yet there was no evidence of this. :c...

Missus Honda Hornet 600 whilst out on a run today just cut out while doing 60 , she coasted to a halt and it wouldnt start again . Look on e bay under motorcycle luggage. I got the oxford, but spray glued a black felt to the base to protect the tank a bit more. Still holds tight on higher end rides ? :thumbup:

As some of you maybe aware i have been off work with a hip injury for over 2 years. After loads of test and medicals it came to light that I had torn the labrum in my right hip socket and it was to badly damaged so needed hip resurfacing. I under went the surgery in may last year , i,m still in pain...

If this helps, look for local bike clubs. they some times train new riders for free and they provide the bikes aswell. My partners found a local bike club that did this and she learned with them first, only cost her a very small fee each week to cover the insurance and fuel used . Hope that helps ? ...

why bother, I found out when i went to sorn it, that there records came back as ITS BEEN SCRAPPED. despite taxing and insuring it and using it on the roads for years ,
DVLA are like all other govermnet departments, over paid and crap :clap:
