A guy binned his CBR on our session too, on the corner before the start/finish line! God knows how he did it, but he left his mark on the tarmac! Our day was absolutely boiling, i needed to buy a new t-shirt to come home in.... I don't normally sweat much for a fat bloke! I would recommend th...

Ron Haslam Trackday

As part of the big 4 0 i was given a suprise track day at Ron Haslams racing school at Donnington. Anyway, did the day on Wednesday and it was fantastic. Did the Premier course, CBR600RR, with 3 sessions of 15 mins (7-8 laps of the GP circuit), with tuition in between. Never been on a track before, ...

Where in Wales?

Which are the essential roads to take in as part of a weekend in mid wales?

Looking at being based in Crossgates, with 2 days of riding.

So, if you know the bestest, fastest, sweepiest, non-policed roads - please let me know.

Cheers

power

Trebs I have the Optimate lead connected to my battery permanently.... But I also use the fly lead to power my GPS or heated grips. I have bought some extra plug/sockets that 'mate' with the optimate and have adapted the GPS cables and heated grips cables with these. Therefore when the bike is not o...

Repair has to be done from the inside for the tyre to be 'repaired'.

Doing it from the outside is only a temp measure.

No point in asking for problems when you rely on two wheels.

If it were me, i'd fix it or swap it.

you know it makes sense

Stall

Tractor Are you using standard cans or after market? Using standard cans on the storm is renouned for stalling at low revs, summat to do with the air flow.... Used to happen to me until I put the scorpions on, not had it since. Can't add anything more technical, I pay mr honda for that! Best of luck...

Advice

Wez My advice would be to take some waterproofs and visor cleaner. You're bound to get loads of midges out in the lakes, and the bike will get covered too. Keep the bike topped up with fuel, as you never know when the next station will be. Keep yourself topped up with water and food as this helps th...

Worst of all, I nearly got wiped out coming out via Donnington viilage. Don't know how I kept the bike up.... Then fa...

Noise

Max, can you desribe the noise you got after 5500m?

Mines like a bag of milk bottle tops being shaken.

Guy at the MOT centre is having a look, but reckons the motor sounds sweet at standstill.
