Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Hello there. Sorry it has been a while. About when my old Storm was nicked in 2018, I think. Pleasantly surprised to see that the familiar names and characters are still here. Kudos to yous. So what I have done to my 'bike' today? I gave it a wipedown before I go for a spin. Does that count? Allow m...

Re: Paint or tape for visor?
Aye, as Cheekykev says. I've a top and bottom strip on much of the year. Despatching in the 80's, many of us put (colour to suit) tape and scissors in a pouch in topbox/under seat. The trick was to find the type of tape that was a little flexible so it could be stretched a little when applying with ...

Re: Beloved Silver Storm Stolen in Dunstable
Hiya folks Four weeks and not unsurprisingly no news. Aye Chris, searched CCTV with one camera just after dusk making out the bike and between 20:37 and 20:39 it went. Motion detection as per law didn't cover where it was taken from (that's under review!). Checked every search alert and no identifia...

Beloved Silver Storm Stolen in Dunstable
Hi folks Apologies for not being around for a bit. I still read the boards from time to time. Please watch out, my Silver Storm was stolen in Dunstable High Street South (outside Registration Transfers) between 19:45 and 20:00 last night (Fri 21st Sep). An S-reg, wavy disks, twin harpoon cans, manua...

Having to pay a tenner to replace a regulation plate with 'raised lettering' to get an MOT!
And having to change the bulb that popped on the way over there.

MOTs and number plates
Greetings fellow Stormers A cautionary tale regarding MOTs and number plates in the hope that no one falls foul of this nugget. Rolling the ever reliable Storm into DBC Dunstable this morning for the MOT, one of the testers mentioned beforehand that the number plate may not permit a pass. Notably th...

Re: Domain change problems
Just seen the new deployment. Kudos admins. If I may, this is my day-to-day stuff being discussed so let me chip in on the header markup/output. Without offence Cybercarl's 'fix' is neither accessible nor semantic and there is certainly no need for empty tags. A semantic and 'tighter' meth...

Re: KAGIZUME discs from Sandys
I have one of these on the rear (went up to Sandys for one to get through an impending MOT) although I'd not put them on the front. I haven't fitted sintered pads to the rear one either. A little wooden but OK in use. I don't think these are japanese made at all - I dug around and found some odd stu...

Re: Operation Storm II – Part three – May 18th - 20th 20
Hi Geo I'm sorry to say that I will have to pull out on this ride, which is a real shame as I was really looking forward to it  Reason being my new daughter (born at the end of Jan) and I'm finding it hard to get any time out and I daren't leave my better half holding the proverbial. It m...

Re: Something seriously wrong
told my missus that since tactile behaviour on her part went out the window I've gone and got a new hugger, black. She went apoplectic. Brilliant psy-ops BVG! As long as her apoplectic behaviour is absent the launching of various objects towards one's head, relatively short lived and duly rep...

Re: What do you see ?
I first thought that was the Horsehead Nebula but more likely the Terrierhead Nebula in Canis Minor. Or a hand. On a ridiculously clean bike seemingly never ridden in the wet with the CCT failure fuse lit (are those originals?) and the tax disk mounted in a non-regulation position (not kerbside). :D...
