Mirrors and substitutes
Needing to replace my mirrors, and was wondering what other ones are out there that people may have used that bolt straight on and look half decent with the Firestorm. Am I correct in thinking that the early Yamaha R1's have the same stud spacing for fitting of 28mm for the fairings? Any body got an...

Few left side items required after low side.
Just after a few parts to sort the bike after having a low slide the other week on the way to get the MOT. :( At least I did pay for the MOT and then bin it! Insurance have written it off, but it is just cosmetic, so trying to get it back together. I am totally gutted as I had it looking mint, so tr...

Front brake Callipers. Only looking for a loan off.
Through a process of elimination, I am trying to find where the problem of my front end judder is coming from. As per my previous post, I have renewed almost everything I can, but the issue is still there. I am getting a lend of a set of forks from another member not too far from me to see if the is...

Re: slight miss fire occasionally
Bit of advice needed. Bike starts and runs fine but occasionally sounds like a slight miss any ideas ... First few times I just about shat myself as it felt like the piston had just shot out and hit the bottom of the tank. It happens randomly, but balancing the carbs and increasing your idle can re...

Re: Rebound issue or lack of
Trooper, do you want to borrow another set of forks to rule them out? Pair hanging off the garage roof in Forfar. Would be brilliant if you were willing to lend me to see if that would at least eliminate the issue I am having with my front end. Can you PM me your details and mobile number and I wil...

Re: Help Urgently required problem solving front end judder
I'm presuming you fitted taper roller bearings when you replaced them 2yrs ago. How did you go about tightening up the steering head bearings, you really need to be using a torque wrench to get the right tension. With the front wheel off the ground and looking straight ahead, with a little nudge of...

Help Urgently required problem solving front end judder
Ok guys, I am seriously pissed off and not exactly oozing confidence after our 2 day Trip up the West of Scotland. The shudder issue that developed when I was in the Alps in June is still there, even after the following work which I did when I came back to try and resolve it : Front end was stripped...

Ok guys, I am seriously pissed off and not exactly oozing confidence after our 2 day Trip up the West of Scotland. The shudder issue is still there, from back in June when it started in France. Even after all the overhauling and eventually replacing the discs and pads. This was after I rebuilt the f...

Re: Rebound issue or lack of
Brakes and wheel bearings are fine. Have checked discs calipers, headstock, and all these were overhauled and replaced last year at same time as the fork rebuild. Issue I believe is that the suspension has gone soft. Lost its rebound. I have stripped down and everything seems ok. The only thing I ca...

Re: Chain Rivetting
Any recommendations for a chain tool without breaking the budget and decent quality. Wont be for regular use, just to do mine and a mates chain.
Cheers

Rebound issue or lack of
Have a fork issue. Heading back on Sat from the Alps, after discovering a serious judder under heavy braking I found that I had no rebound left. I rebuilt the forks over a year ago with new K-tech springs and the damping rod mod, and they were working perfectly till last week. Definitely a rebound i...

HT Leads renewal. Which are best or most suitable?
Going to replace the ht leads from the coil to the plug cap to have as spares and was wondering if these would be suitable. Quite fancy the red http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=331534273955&alt=web Or standard http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=291466578867&alt=...

Stick coils to replace standard. These the correct ones?
Got my stick coils delivered. Just wanting to check they are the correct ones. Have given them a clean and have the CBR loom stripped to cut the connectors off and solder to the Storms one. Back of the headlight. Breather hole tube. Think it is bottom right of the headlight unit, sitting on bike.
