Re: CCT replacement/ alternator bungs
Sorry, forgot to add they are both made from titanium and NOT stainless, I know they are not what you are after in this link but wanted you to know that before you get them and get disappointed..

Re: CCT replacement/ alternator bungs
Mr Tony Mon,
I was having a spare hour at work and knocked these up... did you want me to drop a set to you so you can try them and give me your views/opinions?

Re: fork springs (again)
I went to MCT and he changed all mine over to WP (front and back) and set it all up to suit my weight. Really good service there and come away really happy with the bike and considered it one of the better things I have done. Sorry I can't help info wise with the changes he made but just wanted to s...

Re: CCT replacement/ alternator bungs
Stainless in the austenitic group are considered non magnetic, other stainless in the ferretic and martensitic groups are considered magentic. They are both stainless whatever way you look at it. something like 303 is non magnetic but can turn magentic after cold forming/ cold working processes. 316...

Re: CCT replacement/ alternator bungs
You could colour it by a degree by applying heat to it if you wanted something a bit different... from browns to blues, just don't expect it to last. I know it is only marginal and probably no concern whatsoever but you may want to consider something non magnetic, as it may affect the field already ...

Re: Mikstr's VTR
Thanks for the reply as I was thinking along the lines that your yokes had both changes. Can I ask another question, I read somewhere that you are changing over your front spindle to a titanium one, is this a solid titanium spindle or does it still have the hole all the way through the middle like t...

Re: Mikstr's VTR
So it's a mod that you would consider a worthwhile improvement now you've had the experience with the changes it made to the handling characteristics? With the 10mm wider spacing of the tubes I presume it would be just a simple case of adding 5mm each side to the wheel spacers to compensate? Am I al...

Re: Mikstr's VTR
Hi Mik, I've just had the time to have a good read through of the specs at the beginning of the thread with all the stuff you've had done to the bike. One thing that stuck out a lot in my eyes and i'm interested in is the triple clamps. Can I ask what you thought of the difference that come about by...

Re: Front Suspension Travel.. and a favour
I was thinking that if I measure the length of the visible stanchion with no weight of the bike on it, take away the distance between the two yokes and the distance of travel quoted that should give me the distance/clearance figure I am after (will also have to take into account if the forks have be...

Front Suspension Travel.. and a favour
I was going to ask if anyone has an idea of the answer... or if anyone could put a cable tie on one of the front legs and let me know how close it gets to the bottom yoke after a spirited ride of some description? I only really want to know the distance from the bottom of the yoke to the maximum hei...
