I will be keeping the bike as single seater. Its a pretty basic job.. doesn't even need much bending just a little tig'ing.

Re: Slight handle bar shake when on rear wheel!

Just incase anyone gets the same issue...this is what fix it

Increased the pre-load on the forks and made sure they were balanced, returned the tire pressure to stock, increased the preload just a little on the rear..... Now it wheel stands a treat!

Re: Subframe rebuild Aluminum or Carbon fibre?

I have order some solid aluminum bar stock now which I'm going to fashion a new subframe with...and then I'm planning on just drilling out the unwanted weight. I'm hoping to bend the lower sub-bar so its almost not visible...but ill have to see how the Al handles the bend. The main purpose of the su...

I used A1A Sportbike (located in the US) a couple months ago and the owner there Luke was really cool. He totally looked after me on my shipment (with was a big spend), sending it specially all the way to New Zealand. When the shipment arrived to my surprise there was a free T-shirt and a bunch of s...

Subframe rebuild Aluminum or Carbon fibre?

Hi, I am just looking at lightening and lifting the butt on my VTR. I was thinking of doing a carbon fibre rear subframe, but the lack of information available about the strength etc. puts me off the idea now, even though I think I would be super cool. So I'm looking at constructing a subframe out o...

Re: My VTR

Its the timing that must be out.

If your like most VTR owners your cam tensioners probably sh1t it self.

If its not just look into your timing.

Slight handle bar shake when on rear wheel!

I thought this must be just me, but it would seem damn near everytime I get the front wheel off the ground I get the mild slapping in the handle bars when I land.

Anyone else get this with the VTR?

The pig spotters actually work well (there convex) and have indicators built in, where as, the stock once only kept an eye on my elbows.

I'm not keen on the single side arm. jazzing up the wheels wouldn't hurt though.

How is the fuel delivery? I hate these intermittent problems. If the plugs are new (check there not faulty) Trace the ignition further back to you do find a fault or not, then check the fuel delivery, check for crap in the jets, lines, tank. P.S. before you do any of that check the air filter is ok ...

Get a new torquie if your that worried about it. I just set my wrist to 10nm and that seems to work fine.

Over torquing the head is not a good idea.
