Re: Which chain & sprockets do you use, and why...
DID X-Ring, JT steel sprockets (15/44), scot-oiler. - changed after 18,000 miles wear was not excessive and only adjusted a couple of times apart from tyre changes etc.
replaced the rear JT with a supersrox sprocket as it was shinier but else all the same again.

Re: Indicators with high levels
I have Hi level Arts cans, had to fit mini indicators and raise them about an inch or so , so that they could be seen from behind.

Re: Rear shock springs
According to that calculator, i should have somewhere around 22kg spring
Roger did my penske a few years back for about 19st and its feels fine to me. I'm sure he wouldnt have put a 22kg spring on it.

Re: suspension lowering - shorter rider
I havent lowered my storm, but did lower my other bike as its a bit taller and i have stumpy legs, I soon raised it back up again as it felt horrible to ride, just have to make sure I can get my toes down on solid ground

Re: any advice? about to swap my flywheel
Sorry about the delay work got in the way, managed to get out on the bike wednesday. there is a noticeable difference to the way the bike goes. If i hadnt just renewed the chain and sprockets I might be tempted to go a little higher again on the gearing, that said it does accelerate noticeably faste...

Re: Which Impact Wrench/Rattle Gun to Get
FYI
Just changed my flywheel, I already had the £100 clarke cordless impact gun (220nm), it got it off ok (needed a fully charged battery)

Re: Have I gone wrong somewhere??
I thought the same when I rebuilt mine but if you wiggle everything about a bit you can get it a little further away, that bearing was dry and rusty on mine needed replacing.

You can only tell em so many times, if they wont listen its down to them in the end. We are all grown ups and have to make our own choices and then take any consequences good or bad.

I took the back wheel off and used an axle stand to hold the swingarm in place.
