R1/R6 mirrors
Has anyone had positive use of the above mirrors on the Storm.Seen a few traders on eBay but they are all China Tiawan etc so dont want to buy cheap plastic crap mirrors.Any ideas wheres best to buy or is it the OEM route and expensive prices.
Cheers![Thumbup ](./images/smilies/icon_thumbup.gif)

Re: New APE Tensioners
Sorry to hear of all the hassles fella. It's a long wait for something you have paid for. Gary at overstockparts offers a good service but if he doesn't have them in stock he has to wait for Ape. I have heard even with Overstock members waiting several weeks for stock to arrive. This is mainly due t...

Re: To buy or not to buy...?
Hi welcome Rob. I bought my storm last year with 22,000 ish on the clock. As Bazza said rectifiers can cause issues but one from a R1,R6 sorts this out and needs very basic skills to fit(£15-£20 from ebay). Some people are happy to just change the CCT to stock ones but after hearing what damage the...

Re: My first attempt at polishing lol
Looking good Tracy. I have used the Megs stuff for years. It doesn't leave any powder like Auto Glym does.Use the Megs polish and then get the Megs Carnauba wax to give the bike a deep gloss. If you do it this way the pearl in the yellow comes out and looks stunning in the sun :D .Autosol is hard work...

Re: NO ZOOM ZOOM!!!
At least it never turned out to bad and the bike will be back soon. This type of story is what pushed me into going through the hassle of changing to manual tensioners. I hope you are not off the road to long fella ![Thumbup ](./images/smilies/icon_thumbup.gif)

Re: New APE Tensioners
Final Update Backed the front tensioner off by around a full turn and locked it off :problem: .No more squeaks and just a little hint of chain noise. Both tensioners are finger tight(not fist tight) and it starts and sounds how it should.Thank you all once again its forums like this that help poor p...

Re: New APE Tensioners
Cheers again fellas for the ongoing support. Chris I think it's the front tensioner that's tight as that's where the noise is when firing up for a split second .You can hear it on that side for quarter of a turn when manually turning the bike over. Gonna have a bash tomorrow and see how it goes.I th...

Re: New APE Tensioners
i think you might have overtensioned them bud - back off a turn and try it again until you get it right. im left with approx 38mm of thread between the top nut and locknut. Is that from the top of the locknut to the top of the pinned nut. Mine are around 30mm roughly.I may need to have a bash tomor...

Re: New APE Tensioners
Ok the Apes are done but have a slight squeak sound on start up. If anyone can read this post and advice on the way forward would be great.
