I'm thinking of getting a trackday only bike. Does anyone know what the situation is legally, ie SORN, MOT's and the like?

I'm guessing its the standard stubs that have been modded somehow, as this is the first engine work I've had done. Must be honest and admit that i don't know what inlet stubs are

Jet kit has finally been added. Peak power now up to 105BHP, with gains thru the rev range. I fitted the 014's when I bought my 'storm last year. Don't remember them being slippery in the wet, though you're right when you say they're nothing like the 010's which are superb! What's happened?

All i get is a blank white screen

Got my 'Storm dyno'd over the weekend. I fitted a K+N filter when I got it because it has always been an improvement on previous bikes (fuel economy, driveability etc). Imagine my suprise when the dyno showed a massive hole low down, and a drop in power :o . Cleaned out and refit my standard filter,...

Got my dealer to sort this problem out at my 8K service. What they did was to alter the fuel/air mixture and balance the carbs. Not 100% cured, but way better than it was.

I've seen somewhere (can't remember where) that R1 or R6 mirrors are a direct bolt-on for the standard 'Storm ones, and work a whole lot better. Anyone use them?

To be honest it's difficult to say, as this was the first Firestorm I rode, so I can't compare it to the standard shock. I also didn't have any baseline settings as everything was set to minimum (if anyone can help please?), so I spent a weekend setting up static sag and the like. Compared to my old...

Good thinking Pete, I have got a K+N filter fitted, and had the mixture adjusted before fitting these cans to sort out the stalling problem. I'll check the air leak first, as its a lot cheaper

Just to add to this, this is the second bike Ive fitted with a race can and have yet to be troubled by the boys in blue, even when filtering past in a tunnel :o. Micron have very helpfully marked their cans in a very discreet place, so its not obvious to those not in the know that they are illegal. ...
