ive recently done this repair for a friend of mine, i did set the timeing and remove the tensioners as i was doing the stopper mod at the same time. it says in the origional post you can remove the gear by prying it gently past the cam chain guide 8O, that may be the case but it was to tight for me ...

front forks needed
om on the look out for a set of standard front forks for my 98 storm, if anyone has a set sat in there garage they want to get rid of.
mine are very pitted in the swept area and I'm going through fork seals rapidly.

i love the look of this bike, but min will be black frame, forks and any other ally bits as i don't do polishing.

no the forks are still at standard hight, i will be making the 3 mm spacer to go in top of the rear shock soon to speed the steering up a bit like i did with my last one.

right i got round to doing it last night, and the best thing aswell as the better riding position was the cost ......... £0 pounds, yep nill nowt nothing, all parts were donated. triumph thunderbird risers(moddified to fit fat bars) and a set of triumph preed triple r bars. no new hoses just yet, ...
