Hi, does changing the front cog make a big difference, and does it have any effect re an accurate speedo reading.

Hi the charging refers to an earlier thread. From what you say the intensity of the heat seams about right, but I will get some heat sink paste just to help.

Hi had earlier post re flat battery. Since then fitted new Honda finned type one and had no problems, but haven't used bike as been on hols for a few weeks. Started it yesterday no prob's, but went to start it today and no go. Put old rectifier back on and it started but noticed smoke coming off one ...

Hi all sorted. Put new rectifier on and put old battery on an optimate. Started and now works fine. Left it over night off the Optimate and no loss of charge.

Too late mate, already ordered the 12 v, had I read a few more posts then I would have bought the 14. The rectifier is the new genuine honda finned type for £60 so it will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

Hi, have done an alternator check on the 3 yellow wires and all seams okay. Have ordered new battery and rectifier so we shall see in a few days. Will keep you posted. If anyone has any other thoughts then please let me know.

Hi chaps thanks for your replies. Right have had the new battery on charge over night and this morning. Green fully charged light has not come on. Put multi metre and got a reading of 11.04.
