How much £££
Hi all need some advice please. I have a 2000 X Storm in very good condition and only 13k on the clock. Hyperpro font progressive kit CBR600 rear shock and standard Hugger and Belly Goodridge braided lines Renthal chain and sprockets New Yuasa battery 12month ticket All balls head set Debaffled cans...

Re: Fork hight
Thanks but I already know the standard shock length and putting the rear height back to standard will put the geometry and weight balance over the front end correct for my weight but with the much better felling cbr shock. I gotta say for someone who is simply trying to find a cheap mod for all I wo...

Re: Fork hight
GL - how do you suggest I increase the length of the shock? Remember this is a much sorter unit so I will have to increase the pre load to correct, if there's know one out there with a standard storm and a tape measure I would be surprised.

Re: Fork hight
Hi, cant remember exactly but it was either 30 or 40mm shorter. It's hard to turn in all the way and certainly lost the planted feel. Agreed I could just keep upping the preload until it gets better but would appreciate a floor to top of light measurement just to make sure my butt isn't massively ou...

Fork hight
Hi all, spent some time fitting a CBR600 shock to my Storm as I'm a bit short and light for the standard unit and found my ass leaving the seat over bumps etc. have already fitted the Hyper pro front kit with a 2 to 3mm drop. Now the geometry has shifted I find steering has gone back to the standard...

best pads advice
Hi All, been reading up on the calliper debate but thought I would give the standard stuff a chance first. Since upgrading the fork spring have found myself floating up to things faster than expected, pads are around 3.2mm but could well be the originals 1999 - 2000 as it's only done 11k. Have taken...

Re: Hyperpro advise please
Well Hyperpro kit and a 5mm drop together with the new head race certainly gives the bike more of that feeling it was missing and ultra quick steering in comparison to standard. Cant recommend the All Balls enough as they where very easy to fit with a piece of studding for the cups and tube for the ...

Re: Hyperpro advise please
Thanks Tony that seems reasonable but I am a bit of a short elbow so lifting the rear is a bit of a problem, all the forks are done now but found a flat spot on the headstock so have ordered some of those ALL BALLS twin taper kits. Had a baby monster before this and certainly would like to get that ...

Re: Hyperpro advise please
Well springs arrived just in time for the weekend when suddenly mothers day stopped play, so next weekend looks good but am I correct in thinking the spacer inside the fork is no longer required?

Hyperpro advise please
Hi to everyone,
Just about to put the storm back on the road for the year and thought it was time I fitted the Hyperpro springs from Road and Race, is there a recommended drop for everyday riding that will help with the overall feel of the front end or will the springs be all I need?
Thanks Greg
