Re: good tyres at a good price for vtr1000

I had storms on my SV and they were good, and funny enough I just bought a set for the VTR as the rear is nearly on the limit and the front is well worn. Time will tell how they go as I mostly use the bike for my run to work, which is mostly open A roads :)

Re: Anyone recognise my cans?

Thanks :)

They dont seem too loud at the moment (mind you I am deaf from a seriously loud gig last night anyway!) so will see how they go in the next few weeks

They do sound nice though... 8)

Re: Collecting my 'storm tomorrow!

Thanks guys :)

Been slinging it down with rain today and I have been confined to the house on decorating duties!

Here's hoping for some better weather next weekend so I can put some miles on it :)

Re: New ride

I plan on giving it a full service next weekend. Its just covered 20k miles, so not too high and has full service history to 2008 and 15k miles. The reg/rec has been changed to a heatsink one too. So thats something else to not worry about. I'll keep an eye on the CCTs too. The rear one looks easy, ...

New ride

Picked my new bike up this afternoon and went for a short ride. Got back and thought I would take some pics. Its got a few extras, fairing lowers, Pazzo levers, Micron cans, seat cowl (not fitted in pics) and a few other minor bits. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/flak_monkey/Bikes/m_P1010969....

Re: Anyone recognise my cans?

Well heres a couple of pics of the markings on the cans. Nothing appears to have been polished off either. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/flak_monkey/Bikes/m_P1010971.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/flak_monkey/Bikes/m_P1010973.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/flak_monkey/B...

Re: Collecting my 'storm tomorrow!

Well, collected it at about 1pm and went for a little ride (about 25miles) was too cold to go much further! 8O Very different to ride to the SV and not in a bad way. The riding position is totally different and I started to notice it on my wrists when I cut through town. Sure I'll get used to that t...

Re: what sounds like Art Cans

I rate the Beowulf cans. Had one on my SV and it had a nice deep note without being too loud :)

They dont have the 'badge' of the fancier brands, but they are well made. And made in the UK which is a nice change

Re: Anyone recognise my cans?

Thanks for the info guys. I'll have a closer look when I pick the bike up which might be this weekend if I sort some cash out in time  If they are too noisy, they'll have to go and I'll put the cash towards a different set of baffled cans. If that is the case, anyone have any reco...

Re: Someone put my mind at ease

It'll need rejetting if you have changed the cans and filter for performance items. Otherwise it will be running far too lean throughout the rev range which will make it feel flat and you could run into problems with engine damage through detonation if you aren't careful. Just my opinion from my exp...

Re: Anyone recognise my cans?

Thanks for those. I have had it running in the dealers, but it was difficult to tell from that as it was a pretty small area.

They definately didn't have the BSAU mark on the end can. I didnt look under the tailpipe to see if the not for road use was under there.
