Re: Anyone recognise my cans?

Thats great, thanks :) They may well be E marked somewhere then, as it says that Deltas are. If thats the case then I am happy. Whether I decide if I like the sound of the Microns, I'll have to see. :) Anyone know what a secondhand set of Microns are worth ?

Anyone recognise my cans?

I know they are Microns, but anyone know which model or any more info on them? I have a feeling they are going to be way too loud for 7am work runs...as I get on ok with my neighbours! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/flak_monkey/vtr2.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/flak_monkey/vtr4.j...

Re: Heat Wrapping

Done a few car headers before (my kitcar included). Not a bad job, but can be messy. Cant help with anything VTR specific, but can offer the following... Make sure you are covered fully, its itchy stuff. Soak it in water for 10mins before applying. That way it will shrink onto the exhaust and stay t...

All my socket sets and spanners are Bahco. I wouldnt use much else to be honest, though I must get a bigger range of imperial now  . Plus its all six sided stuff so good for those stubborn nuts 8O Hi FM, If you've got time would you be able to put together a post on how you got started with the...

Re: My 127" big twin project (56k warning!)

Thanks again. About 20miles from Mildenhall, a bit further to Lakenheath. The ground clearance isnt that bad its about 5.5" to the primary. And the exhaust hangs low the other side so right handers would be about the same. Its not exactly designed to go round corners that quick, more a relaxed ...

Re: My 127" big twin project (56k warning!)

Thanks chaps :) Fuel tank I am buying in. Obviously I made the oil tank. I dont have the equipment to make the style of tank I want unfortunately. I will probably end up modifying whatever I buy anyway to make it fit just right! I make everything I can though. Hence not buying forwards and oil tank ...

My 127" big twin project (56k warning!)

OK, so I am not a sports bike person at heart, and the big twin stuff is what really draws me. But using one as a daily ride isnt so clever, so thats where the VTR fits in :) This is my other project. Might not be to most peoples tastes on here. But hey, you never know. I sold my kit car last year t...

Re: Hi, from Sunny(ish) Norfolk

Thanks guys :)

Can't wait to pick it up.

I am a pretty steady rider to be fair. Just fancied something with some more cubes and a change of bike. My project/build bike is going to be running a 2.1l (127cu) twin. So would be good to get some riding on a bigger twin as well :)

Re: Hi, from Sunny(ish) Norfolk

When sitting on the bike, the right had side under the rear end plastics thats where the rectifier lives, you can see it with the seat removed, if has fins on it then it has been replaced with an aftermarket, or Yam R1/R6 rect, if not it has still got the old Honda one, I would recommend changing i...
