Re: CBR1000 Firestorm

The cans look great where they are but think they could do with moving back so the end cap overhangs the tail, plus will reduce chance of melting tailpiece when they get hot, don't forget about heatshield either Cheers again chaps. I have a plan for heat transfer to the tailpiece, basically a heat ...

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm

i have to admire your work, for some time i've thought the rear fairing of a storm isn't that attractive, what you have done to the rear is epic... imho i'm not keen on the blade front fairings, i just don't think they sit right, but that's just my opinion, i admire what you are doing tho...

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm

I've had the shits and puking this weekend so not a lot done but never mind. I have started the exhaust mods, I've decided to have a Panigale set up. I've modified the downpipes to suit. The first picture is of the subframe bracket to accept the Fireblade subframe. http://i1027.photobucket.com/album...

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm

Very nice job 8) Keep up the good work  Chris. Thanks for the comments, I was hopeful of a reasonable response so Im happy. Its always good to get opinions good or bad because you do get (well I do) tunnel vision and to get another view always makes you rethink. I'm seriously consid...

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm

Looking good. What will you do about the exhaust hangers. As yet I don't know, if I where to make the hangers to fit them now they may look daft because they'd be huge?? High level cans would make more sense bracket wise but I don't like long link pipes either...........still to be decided. :confused

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm

That looks great, how is the turning and do the clip ons touch the fairing when you turn? Thanks! The steering range has been limited slightly but no big deal. They are race clip Ons and are slightly lower than standard, before I set the lockstops I will consider whether I want more steering. The f...

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm

Like the FZ,s too. I think if you make the cans high levels it will look superb Cheers  I love bikes they are my passion, new or old I love getting them sorted. I'm thinking of a high level option with the cans but I don't want great big link pipes. I will be bracing the swingarm as well. ...

Re: CBR1000 Firestorm

Hows the cooling considering have less i opening the fairings on the blades than standard storm, as we know these get hot quick. I will be using the ram air ducts. I have modified the part that would have gone under the tank from the front fairing, I have yet to make a diffuser to put the air exact...

CBR1000 Firestorm

Hi, first post but I've been a member for ages gleaning information from you guys so I thought I'd get my finger out and give some back. I've personally always loved the Firestorm engine but never the looks and have threatened to do this for ages, basically fit (properly) Fireblade bodywork on a Fir...
